ABOUT ME

I was born in Fremantle and raised in the sunny west. After completing a BA in English at UWA I  headed to California where I stayed for 5 years and  in that time, I completed an undergraduate Acting course and a Master of Arts in drama, specializing in Directing at SFSU.  I loved San Francisco where I started my career writing satire which I performed in theatres, comedy clubs and on the streets in the Bay Area and throughout California.

After returning to Australia, I worked as an actor and director for ten years  on over 20 theatre productions, a handful of TV dramas and  films. My produced plays  include: Table For One?, Christmas Day, Dangerous Curve and Between Dreams and Get Sando which premiered in November 2026 at Flightpath Theatre, Sydney.

I am currently writing my first novel. Ah, the freedom of prose fiction! As a member of South Coast Writers Centre, I was selected for a one- week writers residency at Bundanon which got me off to a galloping start. I have had a short story published, Men Beware in Great Australian Bites, published by Fremantle Arts Press.

I have  a swag of TV credits, writing drama - McLeod's Daughters, Chan & Dee's Drink Tank -  and writing, directing  and producing  documentary series -  Con Girl, Outback Car Hunters, Giving Life, Crash Test Mummies & Daddies, Kalgoorlie Cops, Kings Cross ER, Territory Cops, Unreal Estate, Storm Season, Housecalls to the Rescue.

I co-founded my own company Wonderland Productions in 1996. Company credits include Table For One?, Taxi School, Kulka, Freeing the Song, which I also edited and the Award Winning feature doc The Pink House.

Storytelling is my passion, be it fact or fiction, and finding humour in unexpected places keeps me  happy and inspired.
